Flock Plugins

Um Java- und Flash-Plugins in Flock nutzen zu können, erstellt man sich Links zu den jeweilgen Links im Firefox Plugin Verzeichnis:

flock/plugins$ ln -s /usr/lib/firefox/plugins/* ./

Nach einem Neustart lädt Flock diese.

Fehlermeldung beim Starten von Eclipse unter Hardy

Nach Starten von Eclipse unter Ubuntu Hardy bekommt man nach Auswahl des Workspace folgende Fehlermeldung:

Could not initialize the application’s security component. The most likely cause is problems with files in your application’s profile directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write restrictions and your hard disk is not full or close to full. It is recommended that you exit the application and fix the problem. If you continue to use this session, you might see incorrect application behaviour when accessing security features.

Google sagt dazu:
The problem can be fixed by creating the directory $HOME/.mozilla/eclipse manually.

Internet Explorer unter Ubuntu

Der Internet Explorer kann auch unter Ubuntu genutzt werden. Dieser läuft dann in Wine.
